Link: Apply now for the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card or Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card
I consider the Chase Ink cards to be among the best business credit cards out there.
In this post:
Chase Ink Cash & Ink Unlimited: Earn 75K points
Both the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card and Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card are offering cardmember bonuses of 75,000 points after spending $6,000 within three months. These are solid bonuses, especially when you consider that both of these cards have no annual fees.
You’ll see these bonuses are marketed as offering $750 cash back (rather than 75,000 points). And indeed, you could redeem the rewards as cash back.
However, if you have either card in conjunction with a card earning Ultimate Rewards points, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card (review) or Chase Sapphire Reserve® Card (review), then rewards can be converted into Ultimate Rewards points at a rate of one cent per point. Since I value Ultimate Rewards points at 1.7 cents each, that increases the value of the points by 70% right there, by my valuation.
If you don’t yet have either of the no annual fee Chase Ink cards, there are good reasons to consider applying. Beyond the exceptional welcome bonus, the cards also offer a great return on spending.
The Ink Business Cash (review) offers:
- 5x points on the first $25,000 of combined purchases per cardmember year on office supply stores, internet, cable TV, mobile phones, and landlines
- 2x points on the first $25,000 of combined purchases per cardmember year on restaurants and gas stations
- 1x points on all other card purchases
The Ink Business Unlimited (review) offers:
- 1.5x points on all purchases, making it one of the best cards for everyday spending
On top of that, the cards offer excellent rental car coverage, among the best you’ll find on any cards.
Chase Ink Preferred: Earn 100K points
It’s not just the two no annual fee Chase Ink cards offering incredible bonuses, but also the most premium of the trio of points cards, which is the $95 annual fee Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card. That card is offering a new cardmember bonus of 100,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points after spending $8,000 within three months.
The Ink Business Preferred (review) is my all around favorite business credit card, as the card offers:
- 3x points on travel, shipping purchases, internet, cable, phone services, and advertising purchases made with social media sites and search engines; you can earn 3x points on up to $150,000 worth of combined purchases per cardmember year
- 1x points on all other purchases
In addition to a great return on spending, the card offers valuable rental car coverage and cell phone protection, and also directly earns Chase Ultimate Rewards points.
Chase Ink Premier: Earn $1,000 cash back
The Ink Business Premier℠ Credit Card is the newest card belonging to the Chase Ink portfolio. The $195 annual fee card doesn’t earn points, but rather earns cash back. This card is offering a bonus of $1,000 cash back after spending $10,000 within three months.
The Ink Business Premier (review) has an unrivaled rewards structure for those looking to earn cash back, as the card offers:
- 5% cash back on travel purchases through the Chase Travel Portal
- 2.5% cash back on purchases of $5,000 or more
- 2% cash back on all other purchases
For businesses regularly making purchases in large transactions, this is an unbeatable return on spending.
You’re eligible for bonuses on all Chase Ink cards
If you’re trying to decide which Chase Ink card to apply for, the good news is that you’re eligible for the bonuses on all four cards. It’s possible to apply for all four cards, and earn the bonus on each one (personally I have all three Chase Ink cards that earn points).
The usual restrictions for Chase card applications apply. While there’s traditionally the Chase 5/24 rule, it seems that this is no longer consistently enforced, as there are lots of data points of people being approved despite being over the limit.
See this post for tips on applying for Chase Ink cards. In general I’d recommend waiting about a month between card applications.
Which Chase Ink card should you prioritize?
While there’s value in having all three Chase Ink cards that earn points, how should you prioritize the applications? I don’t think there’s a right or wrong answer, though I do have a few thoughts:
- Consider how much of the minimum spending you’d be able to complete, since the Ink Cash and Ink Unlimited have half the spending requirement of the Ink Preferred
- Consider if you have one the Chase Ultimate Rewards “hub” cards yet, which allow you to maximize your points, including the Sapphire Preferred or Sapphire Reserve; if not, I’d get the Ink Preferred first, since it allows you to immediately transfer points to Chase’s partners
- Consider the Ink Cash if you value the 5x points bonus categories, while you should consider the Ink Unlimited if you’re considering a great card for everyday spending
If it were me, I’d probably start with the Ink Business Cash or Ink Business Unlimited, given the improved offers that these cards are currently offering, and then you can pick up the Ink Business Preferred.
Bottom line
The Ink Business Cash and Ink Business Unlimited are offering excellent bonuses of 75,000 points or $750 cash back upon completing minimum spending, making this an ideal time to apply for these cards.
Meanwhile the Ink Business Preferred is offering a best-ever bonus of 100,000 points. These are all incredible bonuses on some of the most valuable business cards out there.
If you don’t have any of these cards and are eligible, I’d highly recommend picking these up, as you can earn 250K bonus points, not to mention you can really maximize your business spending in the long run. These aren’t just cards you get for the bonuses, but they’re cards you’ll want to keep. That’s why I have all three of these cards that earn points, and they’re a vital part of my Chase credit card strategy.
Meanwhile for someone looking to earn cash back, the Ink Business Premier is an excellent card for business spending.
Are you picking up any of these Chase Ink cards with a huge bonus?
Does the 100k points for $8k spend on Ink Preferred also end on Jan 18? If not, when does it end.

Not related to this specific post, but have you watched the new Korean Air safety video? Apparently it's the first airline safety video to feature a 'virtual human'. I'm curious about what you and the others here think about it...

Data point: applied and was approved with 7/24. I applied using a business EIN.
Can you apply for these cards even if you do not have a business ? Does it have tax implications ?
Used your link to apply for the Ink Business Cash and was approved for $14K. I've had the Ink Business Preferred for a few years.
Datapoint. Applied and was instantly rejected at 6/24 (Fico of ~830). I had hoped I'd have a chance after all the recent 5+/24 approval datapoints but wasnt to be.
Have had 4 biz cards but never through Chase. Guess I'll wait for official reason before trying reconsideration.
What are the approval odds if you already have both cards and applying for a second one ?
Anyone over 5/24 try appying? Thhere were reports a few monthhs back of Chhase approving people over 5/24 while tey were offering elevated bonuses on certain cards...
Hello. I was at 7/24 when I applied for and was approved for the Ink Unlimited in March when they had the same offer. Just yesterday, I applied for and was approved for the Ink Cash spring at 6/24. So yes, they are approving. Good luck!
